Liberia is a country rich in mineral resources in West Africa, Iron ore is the primary mineral exported, along with other high-value minerals such as gold, diamonds, and limestone. Many are located in remote inland areas, the transportation of mineral resources also faces multiple challenges including complicated road conditions, limited bearing capacity of bridges, and muddy road sections during rainy seasons.
In view of these characteristics, we will provide customers with professional, efficient and safe mining transportation solutions through transportation route analysis and vehicle model selection.

| Mineral Type | Reserves | Major Mining Areas | Other |
| Iron Ore | About 5 billion tons | Nimba, Bong, Gbapolu | Uses: Steel production, export trade |
| Gold Mine | About 10 million ounces | Bong, Grand Bassa | Mining Methods: Open-pit and underground mining |
| Diamond | Reserves: Not fully explored | Bong, Lofa | Features: Large grains, suitable for jewelry processing |
| Limestone | Rich | Application: Cement production |
According to feedback from our local clients in Liberia, he had just signed a contract with the mine owner, he said almost all the vehicles sold to Liberia are used for transporting iron ore, Liberia's iron ore has an average grade of 58%-60%, which is high-grade hematite that can be directly fed into furnaces.
Distribution of Iron Ore Mining Sites in Liberia:
| Mining Base | Owner/Operator | Reserve Volume | Grade | Designed Annual Production Capacity | Main Destination Ports For Transportation |
| Yekepa / Tokadeh | ArcelorMittal | 1.25 billion tons | 61.5 | 15 million tons (2026 Goals) | Buchanan |
| Bong Mine | IPeM (Chinese-Liberian joint venture) | 6.8 billion tons | 59.2 | 5 million tons | |
| Putu Range | Pending restart | 23.6 billion tons | 61.3 | ||
| Bomi Mine | Cooperation Project of China Baowu | 5.4 billion tons | 64.2 | 8 million tons (to be put into operation in 2027) | Buchanan |
Liberia's actual iron ore export volume stood at about 22 million tons in 2025, and it is projected to exceed 40 million tons by 2027. Behind this surge lies enormous pressure on the mining area itself, as well as on the port distribution and transportation systems, currently, transportation efficiency in Liberia’s mining areas is only 62% of the designed efficiency (World Bank 2025 Logistics Performance Index Supplement), the main reasons are improper vehicle configuration, high failure rates and unreasonable route planning.
Take the Yekepa mining area to Buchanan Port route as an example (about 270 kilometers in total length, the actual commercial transportation route):
The road surface consists of a subbase made of crushed stone and slag, with an average gradient of 4.5% and a maximum gradient of 12%. During the rainy season, standing water can reach a depth of 30 centimeters.
Recommended Transportation Modes:
Dump Trucks: Suitable for short-distance and high-tonnage transportation in mining areas.
Combination of Front Loaders and Conveyors: Improve loading efficiency at loading points.

This section of road is a widened gravel road with extremely high dust levels, so the air filter replacement interval has been shortened to 80 hours per replacement.
Dump trucks are the primary mode of transportation.

Railway capacity is severely insufficient, forcing large quantities of ore to be transported directly by truck. the current average operating speed of the highway is only 35 km/h (the designed speed is 60 km/h), which is caused by vehicle aging and improper matching.
We recommend using a 430–460 horsepower tractor truck paired with a 3 axles dump semi-trailer, which can increase the single-trip payload from 30 metric tons to 55 metric tons while reducing fuel consumption by 15%–20%.

| Model | Engine Horsepower | Load Capacity | Hill-climbing Ability | Fuel Efficiency | Applicable Scenarios |
| 6x4 Dump Truck | 400HP | 40 tons | Middle | High | Frequent short-distance transport and loading/unloading within mining areas |
| 8x4 Dump Truck | 400HP | 50 tons | High | Middle | Short-Distance Transportation in Mining Areas |
| 6x4 Tractor Truck | 400HP | 60 tons (semi trailer) | High | Middle | Long-distance transport from mining areas to ports—the top choice for bulk iron ore |
Take the route from Yekepa Mining Area to Buchanan Port as an example
For transport distances of 0–15 km and high-density daily trip requirements, we recommend the HOWO 6×4 dump truck, with a payload capacity of 30–40 metric tons per vehicle.
Reasons: The 6X4 dump truck features flexible steering, suited for frequent U-turns at mining sites. its 400 hp is sufficient; and its short body makes it ideal for narrow work sites.

The transportation distance is 45–50 KM, with a medium daily vehicle trip requirement. we recommend the HOWO 8×4 dump truck, which has a payload capacity of 40–50 metric tons per truck.
Reasons: Larger load capacity reduces round trips; the 8×4 configuration delivers superior traction on muddy roads during rainy seasons.

The transportation distance ranges from 200 to 270 kilometers. For long-distance and large-volume transportation, we recommend using a HOWO tractor truck with a 3 axles dump semi trailer, which can carry 60–80 tons per trip.
Reasons: It has the lowest cost per ton-kilometer, delivers fast driving speed on the ways, and supports drop-and-hook operations.

The table below summarizes the complete specifications of the recommended models for the three operating conditions mentioned above:
| Item | HOWO 6×4 Dump Truck | HOWO 8×4 Dump Truck | HOWO 6×4 Tractor Truck | 3 Axles Dump Semi Trailer |
