Recently, a mining and infrastructure contractor from Gabon contacted us to enhance their heavy machinery support capabilities. The client required a vehicle for on-site maintenance, field welding, and lubrication for their fleet of dump trucks and excavators. After a thorough assessment of their operational needs, we recommended the customized SINOTRUK HOWO 290HP 4x2 Mobile Workshop Truck. Operating in Gabon's remote mines transport routes presents unique challenges. Once heavy machinery breaks down in deep muddy ruts or on unpaved, rocky terrain, making it impossible to tow equipment back to a repair shop. The client needed a mobile service station that could reach these isolated locations, minimizing costly downtime and reducing the physical labor required by mechanics during field repairs.

To conquer these demanding geographical conditions, the truck chassis is equipped with a proven WD615.87 engine and large 13R22.5 mixed-pattern tires that provide massive ground clearance and exceptional grip. For enhanced off-road protection against rock impacts, we installed high-position metal bumpers with headlight protective covers. Furthermore, to perfectly adapt to local environments, the vehicle features an engineering-grade oil-bath air filter and standard oil-water separators, ensuring maximum reliability and cost-effectiveness for the client.

The custom-built cargo box is a masterpiece of integrated maintenance design. It features a built-in 20Kw generator and a 5.5Kw air compressor driven by an HW70 PTO, delivering reliable power for pneumatic tools and emergency welding. To handle heavy spare parts effortlessly, a 500Kg crane and a heavy-duty hydraulic tailboard are mounted at the rear. The client specifically praised the comprehensive lubrication and cleaning setup, noting that the four 180L oil drums with reel hoses and the 600L water tank with a high-pressure washer are perfect for cleaning muddy machinery before conducting precise repairs.
