The small speed difference between gears makes shifting easy, providing a suitable gear for motorways or low speed sections. Finally, the split case housing requires fewer part removals for assembly or maintenance. Adjusting gear ratios or capacity only needs changing the intermediate case length all other components are interchangeable.
