One of our Ethiopian clients recently secured a new road construction project in Dire Dawa and required a fleet of engineering trucks. To start, they purchased a HOWO TX 10-wheel, 371HP truck-mounted crane from us. This client was referred to us by another long-standing customer of ours, consequently, the pricing and specifications we offered were perfectly tailored to the local operating conditions in Ethiopia. Furthermore—thanks to the introduction from our existing client—communication with this new customer proceeded exceptionally smoothly, shortly after we submitted our quotation and engaged in a brief discussion, the client promptly paid the deposit.

The HOWO TX 6x4 truck-mounted crane is equipped with an XCMG SQ10SK3Q straight-boom crane. Constructed from high-strength steel, this boom features exceptional resistance to bending, it remains stable and free of vibration even when fully extended, ensuring structural integrity. With a maximum boom length of approximately 12 to 13.5 meters and a lifting height of 14 meters, it offers an extensive working range capable of meeting operational requirements in most scenarios. Furthermore, the unit requires minimal installation space, distributes load forces more efficiently across the chassis, and leaves ample room for the cargo box.

A standout feature of this truck-mounted crane is the addition of an electric tail lift at the rear, enabling it to independently perform cargo lifting and handling operations. This design completely eliminates the reliance on forklifts and extensive manual labor, while remaining unconstrained by specific operating environments—thereby facilitating a highly efficient and convenient loading and unloading process.

Before leaving the factory, every truck undergoes rigorous inspection—ranging from engine power, chassis load-bearing capacity, and braking systems to overall truck sealing—to ensure that it is free of defects and capable of effortlessly adapting to Africa's complex road conditions and environments involving lower-quality fuels. Concurrently, the crane boom, hydraulic system, and all customized components are subjected to comprehensive load testing, only after every performance parameter meets the required standards are the trucks cleared for final release and delivery.
